Product Overview

The SK-DUCT-W Intelligent Air Duct Smoke Detector is engineered to identify smoke and combustion byproducts within the airflow of HVAC systems, ensuring early detection in commercial and industrial environments. When smoke is sensed, the detector immediately reports the condition to the Honeywell Silent Knight® fire alarm control panel, which can then activate programmed responses such as shutting down fans, blowers, or other HVAC components to prevent smoke circulation.

Using advanced photoelectric sensing technology, the SK-DUCT-W provides reliable detection across a wide range of airflow conditions. Built inside a durable gray steel backbox with a clear cover, the unit features a pivoting housing designed to accommodate both square and rectangular mounting footprints, allowing installation on either round or rectangular ducts.

Designed for challenging HVAC environments, the detector operates effectively at air velocities from 100 to 4,000 ft/min, temperatures ranging from –4°F to 158°F (–20°C to 70°C), and humidity levels between 0% and 95% (non-condensing). Its construction and layout support quick installation, streamlined wiring, and ease of inspection and servicing.
