Product Overview
The Space Age Electronics D171 is an industrial-grade, explosion-proof 1IR+UV multi-spectrum optical flame detector designed to target hydrocarbon-based fires while maintaining total immunity against localized false alarm sources. Utilizing advanced digital signal processing (DSP) alongside a proprietary Convolution Method, the system continuously cross-examines incoming ultraviolet radiation against one discrete band of the infrared spectrum to pinpoint fire wavelengths at distances exceeding 100 feet. Housed in a NEMA 4X (IP66/IP67) watertight 316 stainless steel enclosure rated for Class I, Division 1 (Zone 1) hazardous settings, the D171 features an isolated field-wiring compartment and an array of hardwired relays, an analog 4-20 mA loop, and RS485 Modbus digital data pipes.
