Product Overview 

The Protectowire PFS-554-FR45 is a digital, fixed-temperature Linear Heat Detector (LHD) cable with a high-temperature alarm threshold of 450°F (232°C). It consists of two spring-tensioned, copper-coated steel conductors insulated with a heat-sensitive polymer. When the ambient temperature reaches the rated 450°F, the polymer insulation melts, allowing the conductors to make contact and initiate an alarm. This specific model features a high-performance Fluoropolymer (FR) outer jacket, providing superior resistance to chemicals, moisture, and extreme environmental conditions while maintaining a low-smoke, flame-retardant profile.
