Product Overview

The IDP-ISO is a Line Isolator Module designed for use on the SLC loop of Honeywell Farenhyt Series fire alarm control panels (FACPs). It functions as an automatic switch that opens when the signaling line circuit (SLC) voltage drops below four volts, helping to protect the integrity of the loop.

Isolator modules are installed between groups of sensors or modules to safeguard the rest of the system. In the event of a short circuit between two isolators, both units immediately open the circuit and isolate the affected section. This allows the remaining devices on the SLC loop to continue operating normally. A maximum of 25 devices per isolated group is recommended.
