Product Overview

The OSID-R (Reflective) Smoke Beam Detector is the newest member of the OSID open-area detection family, engineered to provide fast, reliable smoke detection in large open spaces. Using advanced CMOS imaging technology, OSID-R delivers superior stability, simplified setup, and reduced maintenance, resulting in a significantly lower total cost of ownership compared to traditional beam detectors.

Thanks to its intelligent CMOS-based tracking, the detector automatically locates the reflector, locks onto it, adjusts sensitivity, and continuously monitors alignment. This minimizes nuisance alarms caused by building shift, temperature changes, or structural movement.

The OSID-R is a single-unit transmitter/receiver device that can be wired directly to a conventional fire alarm control panel (FACP) or integrated into an addressable system using zone modules or I/O units, providing flexible installation options for modern fire protection systems.
