Product Overview

Eaton’s Wheelock Eluxa low frequency sounders (ELFHN) and sounder strobes (ELFHS) are designed to comply with NFPA 72 low frequency sounder requirements for sleeping areas, providing alerting for both fire and carbon monoxide (CO) emergencies. Each device combines dual signaling capabilities in a single unit, offering T3 (fire) and T4 (CO) horn patterns along with low and high candela strobe settings.

Featuring high-efficiency LED technology, Eluxa appliances minimize current draw across the full candela range, reducing overall power consumption and allowing more devices on a notification appliance circuit with fewer power supplies. The low-profile design ensures the devices blend seamlessly with interior décor while maintaining reliable performance. Installation is simplified with pre-wire/pre-test capability via a hinged mounting plate and field-selectable settings that require no tools. Optional special lettering for ALERT, CO, or no lettering is also available.

Eluxa strobes meet the 20-millisecond light pulse duration requirements of NFPA 72 (2016 edition), allowing LED and xenon devices to coexist in the same field of view. Devices are UL, ULC, CSFM, and FM approved, RoHS-compliant, and compatible with Wheelock RSS and Exceder LED3 systems, as well as all verified Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP).
