Innovation, Networking, and Technical Expertise: Full Coverage of Next Security at NFPA 2026

The Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas became the global epicenter for the safety and fire protection sector during the NFPA Conference & Expo 2026. As Platinum Sponsors, Next Security structured a robust participation to deliver value to visitors, combining brand activations, strategic relationship-building, and the sharing of high-level engineering methodologies.

The experience for those visiting the event began even before crossing the exhibitor line. To ease the characteristic Las Vegas heat, Next Security was the official sponsor of the Refresh Water station, strategically located right at the entrance of the expo. There, every participant could hydrate with custom-branded Next Security cups, establishing the very first point of contact and hospitality of the event.

Moving into the main exhibition hall, Booth #613 stood out prominently. Strategically positioned near the main entrance, the booth functioned as the company's connection hub during the three days of the expo, following the official exhibition schedule:

  • Monday, June 22: From 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., integrating with the NFPA Opening Reception.

  • Tuesday, June 23: From 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., featuring intense networking activities.

  • Wednesday, June 24: From 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., marking the conclusion of the exhibition activities.

To break the seriousness of the business floor and engage the audience in a fun way, the booth featured highly successful interactive activations: visitors could enjoy and test their luck on a classic Vegas slot machine, practice their swings on a high-tech golf simulator, and even play matches on a foosball/soccer game.

This entire massive structure and the event flow were closely managed by our Marketing team, who ensured flawless execution in every detail. On the front lines of engagement, we had the full-time presence of our Sales Reps (Sales Representatives). They were responsible for warmly welcoming visitors, understanding the real-world demands of each company, presenting our solutions, and directly connecting the market with Next Security's innovations.

World-Class Portfolio: Showcasing Authorized Brands and Solutions

One of the great highlights of Booth #613 was the live demonstration of our extensive ecosystem of leading edge technologies. As a trusted partner for large-scale projects, Next Security proudly exhibited the specialized solutions and hardware from our portfolio of authorized world-class brands.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore firsthand the latest innovations in power, detection, notification, and containment from:

  • Altronix & Power Sonic: Showcasing advanced power supplies and mission-critical backup power solutions built for maximum reliability.

  • Kidde Commercial, Hochiki, Mircom, & Potter: Displaying state-of-the-art fire alarm control panels and intelligent detection systems engineered for swift response and compliance.

  • Eaton, Genesis, Gentex, & STI: Featuring robust notification appliances, signaling devices, and protective enclosures designed to ensure clear alerts and prevent false alarms.

  • Ditek, Telguard, Macurco, & Space Age Electronics: Presenting critical ancillary technologies, including robust surge protection, cellular alarm communicators, specialized gas detection, and custom-engineered life safety components.

By bringing together these industry giants under one roof, Next Security demonstrated its unique capability to deliver fully integrated, end-to-end fire protection systems tailored to the rigid demands of modern infrastructure.

Engineering in Focus: Detailed Content of the Technical Presentation

The moment of highest technical density for Next Security occurred on Wednesday, June 24, at 12:30 P.M., in the Exhibitor Presentation Theater 1. Technical expert Patrick led the presentation "From Concept to Compliance: Professional Fire Alarm Drawings That Pass the First Review" , presenting a deep diagnosis of the role of the Projects Department and the bottlenecks affecting modern engineering.

Diagnosing Project Rejections

The presentation began by exposing the chronic structural failures that commonly result in the rejection of technical drawings by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ):

Incomplete Documentation: Files sent without the necessary details required for the fiscal body's validation.

Lack of Coordination Between Disciplines: Layout conflicts and system interferences between the fire alarm and other building engineering projects.

Non-Compliance: Technical misalignment regarding the codes, norms, and standards governing the sector.

Insufficient Technical Review: Verification processes sacrificed or neglected prior to submission, often due to extremely tight deadlines.

These factors have a direct and negative impact, causing severe delays in the project execution schedule and a significant increase in operational costs. Fast approval times are fundamental to protecting the financial predictability of any business.

The Quality Workflow: How to Mitigate Rework

To solve these market pain points, Patrick detailed the structured process utilized by Next Security's Projects Department to achieve first-submission approval with the AHJ. The method is organized through a continuous six-step quality workflow:

Requirements Collection

  • Project Development
  • Compliance Checklist
  • Technical Review (Pre-submission validation)
  • AHJ Submission (Code and standards verification)

During the development phase, the process relies on organizational pillars specifically designed to eliminate rework:

Standardized Templates & Technical Checklists: Tools that guide designers and safeguard development against human error or oversights.

Cross-Functional Reviews: Multidisciplinary analyses performed by the team to identify and resolve system interferences before official submission.

Approved-Project Reference Library: Utilization of a repository of successfully approved projects and strict documentation control to ensure technical consistency.

  • Clear Ownership and Responsibilities: Exact definition of roles for each phase of the drawing, optimizing communication among all stakeholders.

Strategic Return and Business Impact

The conclusion of the presentation demonstrated that process discipline and standardization are not just engineering goals, but pillars of financial viability. The practical application of this structured workflow brings direct competitive advantages and business impacts:

  • Drastic reduction in rework and unexpected overhead costs.

  • Considerably faster approvals from regulatory bodies.

  • Better schedule predictability in the execution of the project.

  • Stronger institutional relationships with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

  • Increased client confidence and legal security for the investor.

Achieving first-submission approval is the direct result of process discipline, standardization, and a strong quality culture.
