The need is the mother of invention

This is precisely how STI – Safety Technology International – was founded in 1978. Jack Taylor, a Detroit school administrator, wanted to stop false alarms from happening. So he created the first pull station protector, which led to a company’s creation.

For over 40 years, STI has manufactured covers, cages and alarms to help prevent theft and vandalism to fire pull stations, smoke detectors, strobe/horns, keypads, AEDs, exit signs, emergency lights, control panels, motion detectors, CCTVs, clocks, etc.

The line of products also expanded into environmentally controlled cabinets, alarms for exit/entry doors or fire extinguishers, wireless door/doorbell chimes, buttons, and alarm/strobe controllers.

Not only vandalism but also the environment can harm pieces of equipment. STI covers help prevent damage. In addition, STI’s tough protectors can reduce costly equipment replacement and repairs and assure the operation of important safety and security devices.
