BV-501GB DSC
Product Overview
The BV-501GB is a 12 VDC hardwired, ceiling-mounted dual-technology security sensor that integrates both passive infrared (PIR) motion detection and acoustic glass break analysis within a single low-profile housing. Providing 360-degree omnidirectional area monitoring, it utilizes a specialized downward-facing Fresnel lens and a quad-element PIR sensor to track movement, while an onboard microcontroller handles dynamic signal processing to listen for shattering glass. Unlike standard base models, this specific variant features a built-in supervised housing tamper switch to detect unauthorized enclosure removal, as well as distinct Form A and Form C relay configurations for separate zone wiring.
Key Features
- Dual-Sensing Infrastructure: Combines a 360-degree quad-element PIR motion sensor with an advanced acoustic microphone to deliver localized perimeter and volumetric space protection.
- Integrated Enclosure Tamper Switch: Equipped with a dedicated, hardware-supervised safety switch that triggers an immediate panel alert if the sensor cover is opened.
- Separated Wiring Relays: Features a standard normally closed (NC) Form A output for motion signaling and a flexible normally open or normally closed (NO/NC) Form C output dedicated to glass break reporting.
- Intelligent Acoustic Discrimination: Uses microcontroller-based signal filtering to identify the accurate sound profile of plate, tempered, laminated, and wired glass breakage while completely screening out high-frequency ringing and localized bell noises.
- Multi-Level Signal Processing: Employs software-driven data analysis to screen the infrared thermal profile, differentiating human motion from background noise or ambient air movement.
- Height-Adaptive Footprint Range: Delivers a circular detection zone spanning a 24-foot diameter when fixed at an 8-foot ceiling height, expanding up to a 36-foot coverage pattern at a 12-foot elevation.
