Product Overview
The Space Age Electronics E120V-GT is a Type 2 parallel-configured hybrid transient voltage surge suppression (TVSS) device engineered for dedicated 120 VAC single-phase life-safety electrical branches. Utilizing a thermally fused hybrid gas-tube network, the device reacts in less than 5 nanoseconds to suppress line transients from lightning strikes or heavy inductive motor switching. It is robust enough to safely clamp extreme high-energy spikes—up to 25kA—long enough to intentionally trip the upstream branch circuit breaker while preserving its internal elements for subsequent surge events. Encased in a non-dielectric, UV-resistant green polymer housing, the E120V-GT includes an Acerbox ELOCK mechanical circuit breaker lockout kit to satisfy building code security mandates.
