Product Overview

 The OSYSU-EX-O is an outdoor, explosion-proof supervisory switch engineered to monitor the open position of Outside Screw & Yoke (OS&Y) gate valves in hazardous environments. Designed for mounting directly onto the valve, the unit tracks movement of the rising stem. When installed correctly, the adjustable trip rod rests in a groove filed into the valve stem; any stem movement—such as when the valve begins to close—forces the rod out of the groove, activating the internal switch. The unit is built with a UL-listed explosion-proof enclosure to ensure reliable operation in classified outdoor locations.
