PAD300-SB POTTER
The Potter PAD300-SB is a 6-inch intelligent addressable sounder base designed for localized audible signaling applications utilizing the Potter Addressable Device (PAD) protocol. Operating on a 24 VDC signaling loop with a 300 µA standby current, the base requires an auxiliary 16 to 33 VDC power
connection that draws 42 mA during active alarm states. Critically, the PAD300-SB passes through whatever distinct evacuation cadence is broadcast by the power source, allowing it to mirror any standard pattern—such as Temporal 3 or Temporal 4—without consuming a dedicated hardware address on the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC).
The base features a field-selectable, tamper-proof mechanical lock to prevent unauthorized head removal, accepts 22 to 12 AWG field wiring, and supports Class A, Class B, and Class X circuit topologies. It outputs an audible warning threshold of 75 dB at 10 feet per UL 464 standards (85 dB per UL 268) and is UUKL Listed for Smoke Control.
