The Space Age Electronics RJ31120-MDP is a high-performance, low-voltage Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor (TVSS) engineered explicitly to protect sensitive telecom equipment from transient voltage spikes and lightning-induced surges on RJ31X communication loops. Commonly deployed on fire and burglary 31X alarm dialers and building entrance telephone lines, this module implements multi-stage hybrid solid-state protection using a combination of Silicon Avalanche Diodes (SAD) and Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV). The "MDP" variant features integrated self-restoring current-limiting circuitry rated for a maximum continuous current of 150mA and a 120V clamping threshold. This modular, scalable design allows for efficient system modifications, preventing interruptions to Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) based monitoring systems and minimizing non-billable service calls.
