SC GENTEX

The Gentex SC is a hardwired, hard-plastic 120 VAC multi-criteria combination smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarm engineered for residential and commercial dwellings such as apartments, hotels, and motels. Utilizing an energy-efficient design backed by a 9V alkaline battery backup for continuous operation during power failures,
the device incorporates a multi-criteria photoelectric smoke sensing chamber alongside an advanced electrochemical CO sensor to virtually eliminate nuisance false alarms. It features an integrated 85 dBA piezo horn operating at a nominal 3100 Hz frequency that automatically alternates output tones
based on the threat: a Temporal 3 pattern for smoke/fire detection and a Temporal 4 pattern for carbon monoxide presence. Measuring 5.5" x 5.5" x 1.75", the universal-mount alarm features an 8-hour alarm memory,
a push-button self-test, a built-in insect screen, a 10-year sensor end-of-life indicator, and tandem interconnect capability. It is fully listed to ANSI/UL 217 (9th Edition) and ANSI/UL 2034 standards.
