Product Overview 

The TX3-CX-1NP is a single-door PoE (Power over Ethernet) Access Control Controller part of Mircom’s TX3 Series. Unlike the standard TX3-CX-1, the "NP" (No Proximity) version does not include a built-in card reader, allowing for a clean, professional installation where an external Wiegand reader is preferred. It is designed to mount discreetly inside a standard 4-square electrical box or a double-gang box, acting as the "brains" of the door. It can operate as a standalone unit or be networked with other TX3 controllers via RS-485 or Ethernet.

• External Reader Support: Does not have an integrated reader; features a Wiegand interface to support one or two external 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz (iCLASS/Mifare) readers.
• Power over Ethernet (PoE): Can be powered entirely through the network cable, simplifying wiring by eliminating the need for a local power supply at the door.
• Flexible Power Options: Also supports 12V DC or 24-48V DC input for non-PoE installations.
• High Capacity: Manages up to 124,000 card users and stores 5,000 offline events.
• Inputs/Outputs: Equipped with two Form C relays (Door Strike and Aux) and four supervised inputs (Request-to-Exit, Door Contact, and two general-purpose).
• Networkable: Built-in TCP/IP port for LAN/WAN connectivity and an RS-485 port for daisy-chaining multiple controllers.
• Peer-to-Peer Communication: Allows controllers on the same network to share data for global functions like anti-passback.
