The Federal Signal Universal Tone Module (UTM) is a microcontroller-based tone generator designed for use in SelecTone® systems and single SelecTone devices. Capable of producing up to 32 different tones, it serves as a key component in industrial signaling and emergency communication applications. Tone selection is configured via five DIP switches, and the module is designed for quick installation using an edge connector. Its shielded construction provides protection against radio frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI), ensuring reliable operation in demanding environments.
