Product Overview

The PAD300-DUCTR is an analog addressable duct smoke detector engineered to meet all local codes and NFPA requirements for HVAC duct installations. It uses a two-tube air sampling method, where the supplied 7" exhaust tube and a selectable intake sampling tube draw air from within the duct for accurate detection. Sampling tubes are available in 2.5 ft., 5 ft., and 10 ft. lengths and can be trimmed to fit the duct size.

Designed for easy installation, the unit mounts using a template and two sheet-metal screws without requiring removal of the clear cover. The housing includes a durable plastic backbox, a transparent cover secured by four captive screws, and accommodates installation without removing the detector head. The PAD300-DUCTR operates with addressable IPA and AFC/ARC series panels and supports SLC Class A, Class X, and Class B wiring configurations. Built for demanding environments, it functions across air velocities ranging from 100 to 4,000 ft/min and includes an integrated cover tamper switch for added system security.
