The Hochiki DCD-AE3 is a conventional, low-profile heat detector featuring a 60°C (140°F) fixed temperature element and rate-of-rise sensing. Part of the CDX series, it utilizes an electronic thermistor and linearizing circuit to provide a stable and accurate response to fire, making it an ideal choice for environments where smoke detectors are unsuitable due to steam, dust, or cooking fumes (e.g., kitchens, boiler rooms, or drying rooms). The Ivory finish is designed to blend with traditional architectural aesthetics.
