Product Overview

The PS40-1 is part of Potter’s PS10 Series of pressure-actuated switches, engineered to detect waterflow conditions in various fire sprinkler system configurations, including wet pipe systems with alarm check valves, dry pipe, preaction, and deluge systems. It can also function as a low-pressure supervisory switch, with an adjustable range between 4 and 15 psi (0.27–1.03 BAR).

Built with a durable die-cast enclosure and designed for both indoor and outdoor installations, the device meets key industry certifications such as UL, cUL, CSFM, FM, and LPC. The PS40-1 activates on pressure decrease at 30 psi (2.1 BAR) and operates reliably within a pressure range of 10–60 psi (0.7–4.1 BAR). Its rugged construction and NEMA 4/IP55 environmental rating ensure dependable performance across diverse system conditions.
