PS40-2 POTTER
Product Overview
The PS40-2 is a supervisory, pressure-actuated switch designed to monitor increases or decreases from standard system pressure in fire sprinkler applications. Ideal for dry pipe systems, pre-action air/nitrogen supervision, pressure tanks, air supplies, and water supplies, the unit is factory-calibrated for a nominal system pressure of 40 PSI (2.8 BAR).
This dual-switch model provides independent high and low pressure monitoring: the LOW switch activates at a 10 PSI (0.7 BAR) drop to 30 PSI (2.1 BAR), while the HIGH switch activates at a 10 PSI (0.7 BAR) rise to 50 PSI (3.5 BAR). The device features a non-corrosive pressure connection, non-conductive enclosure, two wiring chambers, and dual ½" conduit entries.
It is UL, cUL, CSFM Listed and FM/LPC Approved, with a NEMA 4/IP55 enclosure suitable for indoor or outdoor environments when used with proper fittings. The PS40-2 includes two SPDT Form C contacts and supports systems operating between 10–60 PSI (0.7–4.1 BAR), with a maximum system pressure of 300 PSI (20.68 BAR).
