Product Overview

The VSA series is a UL Listed, self-contained sound detection system specifically engineered for the primary security of vaults, covering both reverberant and non-reverberant designs, such as bank and mercantile vaults.

The system's core is a microprocessor-driven DC differential balance control. This control mechanism is meticulously adjusted to ensure the impedance of the microphone circuits is in perfect balance with the internal impedance of the differential circuit. The VSA unit will initiate an alarm through its SPDT alarm relay contacts should the microphone circuit impedance register an increase or a decrease.

In the VSA-1 model, the main controller and the microphone are combined within a single enclosure. System balancing is streamlined via a single push-button. To ensure reliability and prevent nuisance alarms, an on-board accumulator is utilized. This feature allows the system to trigger the alarm only after a pre-set number of sound pulses are received within a 10-minute window. The accumulator is adjustable, offering a range from 0 to 9 pulses.
