Product Overview

The SK-IP-2 Silent Knight IP Communicator Kit is designed to replace traditional telephone lines with an Ethernet-based communication path between compatible Silent Knight fire alarm control panels and the central station. This complete kit includes the IPENC enclosure and IPBRKT mounting bracket, providing a ready-to-install solution for IP alarm signaling.

Using a customer-provided network connection with internet gateway access, the SK-IP-2 converts Contact ID signals from the panel’s DACT ports into secure digital transmissions over IP. The communicator supplies supervised telephone line voltage to both DACT ports and continuously monitors connectivity to both the primary and secondary central station receivers. In the event of network communication loss, line voltage is removed, allowing the panel to report a communication trouble condition.
