Because the -256 series single-door controllers lack a built-in Ethernet port, this "NP" specific module is required to enable LAN or WAN connectivity. Once installed, it allows the controller to be programmed, managed, and monitored remotely via the TX3 Configurator software, bridging the controller’s serial communication to a standard IP network.
