 The Wheelock Eluxa electronic chimes (ELCH) and chime strobes (ELCHS) by Eaton are designed to provide versatile, high-performance audible and visual notifications for indoor environments. The chimes offer selectable operating modes including 1 Hz, 2 Hz, Coded, and Temporal 3 (T3), while the chime strobes combine these audible features with advanced energy-saving LED technology and a full range of candela settings for wall and ceiling mount applications.

Engineered for hospitals, schools, and institutional facilities, Eluxa devices feature a low-profile, modern design that seamlessly integrates with interior décor. Eaton’s efficient LED technology delivers the lowest current draw in the industry across all candela levels, reducing overall energy consumption and minimizing installation costs. The innovative optical design allows more devices per circuit, requiring fewer power supplies and cutting system costs. Wall models offer six candela settings (15, 30, 75, 110, 135, 185 cd), while ceiling models provide six options as well (15, 30, 75, 110, 150, 177 cd).

Eluxa’s unique 2-wire configuration can silence the audible notification while keeping the strobe active using Wheelock’s synchronization protocol, or it can be wired with 4-wires for independent control of sound and light. The pre-wire/pre-test mounting plate with hinged design simplifies installation, and adjustable volume settings with anechoic sound levels up to 78 dB ensure reliable performance. All units operate at 24V and are fully compliant with UL and ULC standards, as well as RoHS regulations, containing no mercury or hazardous substances. Additionally, Eluxa devices are compatible with a wide range of Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) and can be installed alongside existing Wheelock RSS or Exceder LED3 strobes without compatibility issues.
