Product Overview

The Eaton Wheelock Eluxa low-frequency sounders (ELFHN) and sounder strobes (ELFHS) are engineered to comply with NFPA 72 requirements for sleeping areas, supporting both fire alarm and carbon monoxide (CO) notification. Designed as dual-purpose devices, they deliver low- and high-candela output options and provide T3 (fire) and T4 (CO) audible tones in a single unit.

These appliances feature LED technology that supports the 20-millisecond light pulse duration defined in the 2016 edition of NFPA 72, allowing LED and xenon strobes to operate within the same field of view. The Eluxa series is listed under UL 1971, 1638, and 464, as well as CAN/ULC-S525 and CAN/ULC-S526, and is fully RoHS compliant.

The line has been UL/ULC verified for compatibility with a wide range of Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) and devices aligned with Exceder LED3 and Wheelock RSS platforms—including RSS, CH, E, EH, ET, ST, HS, MT, S8, SA, STH, and Z Series. Eluxa strobes can be installed in the same notification zone and field of view as Wheelock RSS and Exceder LED3 models.
