WHEELOCK ELHSW
Product Overview
The Wheelock Eluxa series by Eaton includes horns, horn strobes, and strobes engineered with advanced, energy-saving LED technology, offering a full spectrum of low to high candela settings suitable for indoor wall and ceiling installations. Housed in sleek, modern enclosures, Eluxa devices feature a low-profile design that complements interior décor without detracting from aesthetics. Eaton’s LED technology achieves one of the lowest current draws in the industry for combined high and low candela devices, reducing overall energy consumption and allowing more devices per notification circuit while minimizing the need for additional power supplies.
These strobes are the first in the industry to utilize LED as the primary light source, providing breakthrough optical efficiency that reduces both material and system costs, simplifies installation, and lowers operating expenses. Wall-mounted models offer six candela options: 15, 30, 75, 110, 135, and 185 cd, while ceiling models provide 15, 30, 75, 110, 150, and 177 cd. The devices are designed for versatility, including three horn patterns (Continuous, T3, and T3/T4), pre-wired/pre-tested mounting plates with hinged features for easy installation, and single-gang designs for wall units. ELST strobes, ELHS horn strobes, and ELHN horns operate at 24V, with the ELHN also compatible with 12V applications.
Eluxa strobes meet NFPA 72 (2016 edition) 20-millisecond light pulse requirements, allowing LED and xenon devices to coexist in the same field of view. They are UL listed under Standards 1971, 1638, and 464, and also under CAN/ULC-S525 and CAN/ULC-S526. Fully RoHS compliant and free of mercury and other hazardous substances, these devices are compatible with a wide range of Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) and accessories, including Exceder LED3 and Wheelock RSS strobe-based systems.
