Product Overview

The Eaton Wheelock Eluxa series comprising horns, horn strobes, and strobes, delivers high-performance LED notification technology designed for indoor wall and ceiling installations. Built in a modern, streamlined enclosure, Eluxa devices feature a slim profile that blends naturally with interior spaces.

Powered by Eaton’s advanced energy-efficient LED platform, Eluxa appliances offer some of the lowest current draw available for multi-candela devices. This LED-driven optical design enables exceptional efficiency, allowing more units per circuit, reducing the number of required power supplies, and lowering both installation and long-term operating costs.

All strobe models provide six selectable candela settings:
• Wall units — 15, 30, 75, 110, 135, 185 cd
• Ceiling units — 15, 30, 75, 110, 150, 177 cd

The Eluxa line also incorporates a compact footprint—the smallest in its category—ensuring the device does not disrupt building décor. Each appliance includes six candela levels and three horn patterns (Continuous, Temporal 3, and Temporal 3/4) in a single unit. A hinged mounting plate supports pre-wire and pre-test functionality, simplifying installation, while wall models use a single-gang design with tool-free setting adjustments. The ELST strobe, ELHS horn strobe, and ELHN horn operate at 24V, with the ELHN additionally compatible with 12V systems.

Eluxa strobes comply with the NFPA 72 (2016) 20-ms pulse requirement, allowing LED and xenon strobes to operate within the same field of view. The devices are listed under UL 1971, 1638, and 464, as well as CAN/ULC-S525 and CAN/ULC-S526. They are fully RoHS compliant and free of hazardous materials. The product line is also UL/ULC approved for compatibility with Exceder LED3, Wheelock RSS, and multiple additional Wheelock series, ensuring seamless integration into existing fire alarm systems.
