Product Overview

 

The Macurco GD-12 is a line-voltage, fixed-point combustible gas monitor, controller, and transducer engineered to continuously track concentrations of Methane (Natural Gas) and Propane (LP Gas). Operating directly on a 100–240 VAC power input, this heavy-duty safety device is designed for deployment in mechanical rooms, boiler bays, commercial kitchens, and facilities with gas-fired equipment. The GD-12 tracks gas from 0 to 20% of LEL. It functions seamlessly as an autonomous standalone safety controller utilizing its internal 5-amp power relays to close gas shut-off valves or engage exhaust fans, or it operates as a system transducer transmitting real-time tracking metrics to a Macurco DVP-120 panel, PLC, or building management system.

  • Target Fuel Gases: Calibrated specifically to detect Methane (Natural Gas) and Propane (LP) gas concentrations from 0–20% of LEL for early, low-level warning.
  • Line-Voltage Footprint: Runs directly on a high-voltage 100–240 VAC electrical feed, eliminating the need for step-down external control transformers.
  • Automated Mitigation Relays: Outfitted with two onboard dry contact mechanical relays—a 5A SPDT fan control relay and a 0.5A alarm relay—to automatically isolate gas valves or trip ventilation fans.
  • Dual Output Telemetry: Provides simultaneous 4–20 mA analog output and an RS485 Modbus RTU digital communication port for high-tier integration with building control networks.
  • Local Safety Interface: Features a bright digital display showing real-time % LEL metrics, 4 diagnostic status LEDs, an internal 85 dB buzzer, and an ETL listing to UL 2075 standards.
