Product Overview

The Macurco MRS-485 is a digital network communication adapter board engineered to natively bridge Macurco 6-Series gas detectors into addressable Modbus RTU serial networks. Rather than converting or consuming the detector's analog loop, the MRS-485 plugs directly into the digital communication header on the 6-Series motherboard, reading data directly from the microprocessor. This allows the detector to simultaneously maintain its independent 4–20 mA output while transmitting real-time gas concentrations, sensor type, diagnostic health, and fault conditions over a single RS-485 multi-drop network loop to a Macurco DVP-120M controller, PLC, or Building Automation System (BAS).
