The Xtralis OSI-10 is a high-precision Imager unit designed for the OSID (Open-Area Smoke Imaging Detection) system, featuring a narrow 10-degree field of view optimized for long-range applications. Utilizing dual-wavelength UV and IR particle detection, it provides reliable smoke monitoring in large, open spaces such as warehouses, airports, and stadiums. The unit employs CMOS imaging technology to tolerate building movement and vibration, ensuring stability where traditional beam detectors struggle. Its narrow focus allows for maximum detection ranges of up to 150 meters (492 ft) when paired with high-power emitters.
