The Silent Knight 006815 SLC Expander extends signaling line circuit capacity on 6820 and 6820EVS addressable fire alarm control panels, adding reliable endpoint density without requiring a larger host cabinet. Each unit supports up to 159 SK protocol detectors and 159 SK modules, scaling your coverage across sprawling facilities or multi-building campuses.

Communication occurs over an RS-485 system bus, with a green status LED confirming continuous data exchange. Designed for uninterrupted operation, the expander isolates individual device faults and reports them to the panel while keeping the remainder of the circuit active. Deploy multiple expanders to reach the system’s maximum limit of 1,110 addressable points, linking them via copper wiring or fiber-optic connections for stable long-distance transmission.
