The Mircom FX-2000MNS is the Main Network Mass Notification System Board. While it functions as a powerful fire alarm control panel, it is specifically engineered to meet UL 2572 standards for Mass Notification. It provides the "Command and Control" for building-wide emergency communications, featuring dedicated inputs for emergency paging and prioritized messaging that can override standard fire alarm signals.

• Mass Notification Priority: Unlike a standard fire panel, the MNS version allows for "Non-Fire" emergency overrides. This ensures that an "Active Threat" or "Tornado" voice message takes precedence over a fire alarm if the situation dictates.
• Large-Scale Expansion: Supports up to 9 internal adder modules (such as the ALC-480 for more SLC loops or the DSPL-420 for user interface) and can scale to support thousands of addressable devices.
• Network-Ready: Designed to function as a node on a FleX-Net peer-to-peer network, allowing multiple buildings to be linked for a campus-wide mass notification strategy.
• Four Style Z/Y (Class A/B) NACs: Provides 6 Amps total of notification power, essential for driving the high-density strobe and speaker circuits required for MNS.
• Security & Enclosure: Must be mounted in the BBX-FXMNS enclosure, which typically features a specialized door with a Lexan window to protect the MNS controls while keeping them visible to authorized personnel.
