Product Overview

The Wheelock MIZ piezoelectric mini-horns are small electronic signaling devices certified under UL 464 for Audible Appliances used in Public Mode fire protection systems. The MIZ-24S versions allow installers to choose between a Continuous tone or a Temporal (Code 3) tone when connected directly to a fire alarm control panel. When paired with Wheelock DSM sync modules or Wheelock power supplies, they can also deliver a synchronized Code 3 pattern. These units feature a clean, modern appearance, strong sound output, and low current consumption. Offered in both red and off-white, the MIZ series blends easily into virtually any environment.Typical Applications: Individual rooms • Apartments • Hotels • Motels • OfficesGeneral Information: The mini-horn models are UL Listed for indoor installations and rated for operation between 32°F and 120°F (0°C to 49°C) with a maximum humidity of 93% RH ±2%. The rated input voltage (filtered DC or unfiltered full-wave-rectified FWR) is 16–33 VDC for the 24 VDC MIZ-24S models.
