Product Overview

The B224BI is a 6″ mounting base with a built-in short-circuit isolator designed for use with IDP-series detectors and IFP-series fire alarm control panels (FACPs). It enhances system reliability by preventing a single short circuit from disabling the entire communication loop.

When a short occurs, the B224BI isolates the affected section of the loop, allowing the remaining devices to continue operating normally. Once the short circuit condition is cleared, the base automatically restores the loop to full operation.
