Product Overview

The SK-FSL Fiber-Optic Single-Mode Module is a plug-in fiber loop card designed to enable long-distance communication between networked Honeywell Silent Knight fire alarm control panels through the SK-NIC Network Interface Card. Operating as a single communication channel, the SK-FSL supports both transmit (TX) and receive (RX) fiber pathways, ensuring dependable data transfer across large or multi-building installations.

The SK-FSL utilizes single-mode fiber, featuring LC-style connectors and supporting a maximum attenuation of 30 dB when used with 9/125 µm cable, allowing it to link network nodes efficiently over extended distances. Up to two fiber loop modules, any combination of fiber types, can be installed on a single SK-NIC, providing flexible configuration options tailored to system design.

Listed to ANSI/UL 864 9th Edition, the SK-FSL enables networked panels to operate as a unified system, simplifying annunciation and communication management across distributed sites.
