Product Overview

The SK-IP-2UD Silent Knight IP Communicator Kit is an advanced IP-based communication solution designed to replace traditional telephone lines as the primary reporting path between compatible Silent Knight fire alarm control panels and the central station. This complete kit includes the IPENC enclosure and IPBRKT mounting bracket, providing a ready-to-install solution for secure IP signaling with upload and download capability.

The SK-IP-2UD connects to the panel’s primary and secondary DACT ports, converting Contact ID analog signals into encrypted Ethernet UDP packets for transmission to a compatible central station IP receiver. It provides supervised telephone line voltage to the panel and continuously monitors connectivity to both the primary and secondary receivers. In the event of network communication loss, line voltage is dropped, allowing the panel to report a communication failure trouble condition.

In addition to alarm signaling, the SK-IP-2UD supports remote upload and download of panel programming over the Internet or a customer’s intranet, enabling fully digital communications between a remote PC and compatible IntelliKnight control panels.
