The Space Age Electronics DA-006 Field of View Restrictor is an accessory designed for use with D171 and D371 flame detectors to control and limit the detector’s viewing area. The restrictor mounts to the rear arms of the detector and can be adjusted to block specific portions of the detector’s field of view. By obscuring up to 60 degrees of the viewing area, it helps prevent unwanted detection from nearby flame sources or process-related emissions that could cause nuisance alarms. Multiple restrictors can be combined to further narrow the detection area to approximately 30 degrees, allowing the detector to focus precisely on the area that requires protection without affecting its sensitivity.
