Product Overview

The Macurco AimSafety PM400-IR is a rugged, intelligent 4-gas portable diffusion monitor equipped with an advanced Infrared (IR) LEL sensor. Designed to safeguard workers in high-risk confined spaces, oil and gas plants, and industrial facilities, the PM400-IR simultaneously monitors Oxygen (O2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), and Combustible Gases (0–100% LEL). The integrated IR technology allows the device to safely measure explosive gas levels in low-oxygen or inert environments where standard catalytic sensors fail. Boasting a heavy-duty IP67 weather-resistant housing and a single-button navigation layout, the monitor features an exceptional 60-day continuous battery runtime on a single charge.

Key Features

  • Infrared LEL Sensor Advantage: Equipped with a specialized IR combustible sensor element that is immune to sensor poisoning (silicone/sulfur) and fully operational in zero-oxygen atmospheres.
  • 60-Day Continuous Battery Life: Delivers up to two months of continuous, uninterrupted runtime on a single charge of its internal lithium-ion battery.
  • Simultaneous Multi-Gas Matrix: Tracks 4 life-safety gas hazards at once: CO (0–500 ppm), H2S (0–100 ppm), O2 (0–30% Vol), and Combustibles (0–100% LEL).
  • Triple-Sensory Alarm Array: Instantly alerts field personnel to high, low, STEL, or TWA alarm breaches using a high-impact 90 dB audible horn, bright visual LEDs, and an internal vibrating motor.
  • IP67 Submersible Housing: Enclosed in a high-visibility, shock-resistant composite shell certified dust-tight and waterproof up to 1 meter of submersion.
  • Onboard Memory Logging: Tracks and logs comprehensive data metrics continuously for up to two months, holding a dedicated local event registry for 30 individual alarm logs, calibrations, and bump tests.
