Product Overview

 The MP Series THERMOFLEX® detectors are single-circuit, normally open heat sensors designed with factory-installed pigtail leads that pass through a sealed mounting plate, providing added resistance to moisture and corrosive environments. This configuration makes them ideal for locations where condensation or corrosion can compromise conventional terminal wiring. The sealed plate with extended leads mounts directly to standard cast exterior backboxes, allowing the detector to function as an initiating device within a fire alarm system.

These detectors activate when the internal contacts close in response to either a rapid temperature rise or, in fixed-temperature models, when the preset threshold is reached. For point-specific annunciation, they are commonly paired with an addressable module. Thanks to a non-metallic diaphragm, they maintain reliable performance in cold or unheated areas such as garages, carports, and other chilled environments.
