The DITEK DTK-2MHLP24B is a field-replaceable, analog data and signaling circuit surge protection module engineered to safeguard up to two low-voltage wire pairs (four lines total). Operating at a 24 VDC nominal service voltage with a Maximum Continuous Operating Voltage (MCOV) of 33 VDC,
the unit handles a maximum continuous current of 5 Amps and a massive peak surge current rating of 20,000 Amps (20kA). It features a multi-stage hybrid design utilizing Silicon Avalanche Diode (SAD) and Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) technologies to deliver a tight 39V clamping threshold with a "short-to-ground"
failure mode that safely drops compromised lines out of circulation. The compact ABS plastic module (2.1" L x 1.4" W x 1.9" H) utilizes an edge-card connector that drops directly into DITEK’s hardwired Snap-Track mounting base system (DTK-MB series) to share a single,
unified earth ground point. It is UL 497B listed for data communications and fire alarm applications.
