The Space Age Electronics SDSIGN1 is an ICC A117.1 and ADA-compliant tactile instruction sign designed to provide clear, actionable emergency direction inside designated Areas of Refuge. Fabricated from a heavy-duty 0.040-inch thick aluminum sheet and coated with a durable white epoxy finish, this 8" x 9.5" sign features high-contrast blue graphics and a dynamic, forward-leaning Modified International Symbol of Accessibility (ISA) to satisfy active-style accessibility mandates. The sign contains a 1/32-inch raised tactile lettering layout detailing explicit instructions for operating the Shield30 emergency two-way communication system, paired with corresponding Grade 2 Braille text that includes a code-mandated 1/4-inch bottom clear margin. Designed for permanent field deployment, the plate comes equipped with a high-strength foam adhesive backing for direct installation to structural wall surfaces.
