Product Overview

The Intelligent Fault Isolator Module is an addressable device engineered for use with Honeywell Silent Knight® fire alarm control panels. Its primary function is to safeguard the integrity of the signaling line circuit (SLC) loop by acting as an automatic protective switch. When the SLC line voltage drops below 4V, the module immediately opens the circuit to isolate the affected section.

These isolators are strategically placed between groups of devices on the loop. In the event of a short occurring between two isolators, both devices switch open simultaneously, isolating only the impacted segment. This design ensures that the remaining detectors and modules on the loop remain fully operational, maintaining system performance even under fault conditions.

Installed in a standard 4-inch electrical box, the module provides dependable protection and simplifies troubleshooting in intelligent fire alarm systems.
