Product Overview

The 006815 Silent Knight 6815 SLC Expander is designed for use with the 6820 and 6820EVS Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels, providing additional signaling line circuits that operate using the System Sensor® (SK) protocol. Each 6815 offers the same functionality and device support as the integrated SLC on the host panel, enabling expanded point capacity and flexible system design for large or complex installations.

The 6820 and 6820EVS panels support up to 1,110 total addressable points. Each added 6815 SLC supports 159 SK detectors and 159 SK modules, giving designers significant freedom when scaling multi-building or fiber-connected systems. The 6815 also supports SWIFT® wireless detection, allowing wireless and hard-wired devices to function together on the same SLC.

Communication with the FACP occurs via the RS-485 system bus, with a green LED indicating proper communication. In the event of a device failure, the expander reports the condition to the panel while allowing the remainder of the loop to continue operating normally.
