Product Overview

The Eaton Wheelock MB Series Motor Bells deliver a robust and efficiently engineered solution for fire and life-safety notification systems. Designed to enhance performance, the MB Series features increased sound output, reduced power consumption, an integrated trim plate for easy semi-flush installation, low-frequency aluminum housings, and minimized RFI interference.

Each unit is driven by a high-torque, permanent-magnet motor chosen for its reliability and long operational lifespan. These DC vibrating bells are available in 6-inch and 10-inch models, offered in both 12 VDC and 24 VDC versions.

For installations requiring combined bell-and-strobe configurations, the Series RSSP Sync or Non-Sync retrofit plates can be paired with the MB Series. These plates come with either Multi-Candela or single-candela strobes and are designed for quick attachment to a standard 4" square box or a Wheelock SBL-2 backbox. All RSSP strobe models comply with NFPA 72, ANSI 117.1, ADA, and UL 1971 standards for signaling devices intended for individuals with hearing impairments.

When used with the Eaton Wheelock DSM modules, Sync Modules, or Wheelock Power Supplies, the RSSP strobes can be synchronized using Wheelock’s patented sync protocol providing an effective method of meeting ADA guidelines for photosensitive epilepsy.
