Product Overview

 The PCVS-2 is a weatherproof, tamper-resistant supervisory switch designed to monitor the open position of fire sprinkler control valves, including wall post indicators, yard post indicators, and butterfly valves. The unit installs into a ½" NPT tapped opening on the valve housing, where it is actuated by the valve’s indicating assembly or operating mechanism. When the valve begins to move from its fully open position, the PCVS-2 triggers its internal switches, providing reliable supervisory signaling.

Built for harsh environments, the device features a die-cast NEMA 4X/6P (IP65/IP67) enclosure, making it suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Tamper-resistant screws secure the cover, and a special removal tool is included. The unit supports regular inspection and testing in accordance with NFPA standards and AHJ requirements, with operation verified by rotating the valve mechanism toward the closed position and observing correct switch activation and restoration.
