Product Overview

 The RTS-C Room Temperature Sensor is a compact, precision-built device engineered for commercial and residential applications requiring accurate low-temperature detection. This model features a normally closed (N.C.) contact that opens when the surrounding temperature drops below 40°F (4.5°C), and automatically resets once the temperature rises above that threshold.

Designed with an epoxy-sealed stainless steel sensing element, the unit is fully protected against moisture, vapor, vibration, and corrosion. Its bi-metal operating mechanism ensures consistent performance without sensitivity degradation over time. The detector supports repeated cycling without requiring replacement of sensing components. Installation is simple with screw terminals and surface-mount capability, housed within a white ABS enclosure.

The RTS Series complies with NFPA 13 and NFPA 72 requirements for low-temperature room switches used to protect dry pipe valves against freezing, and it is also suitable for other temperature-monitoring applications.
