The SK-PTIR-W Intelligent Multi-Criteria Detector combines photoelectric, thermal, and infrared sensing technologies to provide a comprehensive and highly reliable approach to fire detection. Designed as the replacement for the SK-ACCLIMATE, this advanced detector analyzes multiple fire signatures simultaneously, improving responsiveness to real fire while greatly reducing susceptibility to nuisance sources.

By integrating multiple sensor types with intelligent communication and on-board algorithms, the SK-PTIR-W delivers significantly fewer false alarms compared to single-technology devices. Its photoelectric chamber detects smoke particulates, the thermal element monitors fixed and rate-of-rise temperature conditions at 135°F, and the infrared sensors evaluate light pattern changes in the environment to validate alarm decisions.

This capability to distinguish real fire conditions from harmless particulates, such as fog or stage smoke, makes the detector suitable for environments where moderate to heavy nuisance triggers may be present. The SK-PTIR-W meets UL 268 7th Edition and UL 521 requirements and provides independent smoke and heat alarm indication. This dual reporting option supports configurations where smoke detection triggers a local alert, while heat conditions initiate a full evacuation response, helping reduce unnecessary disruptions in multi-level or mixed-use buildings.
