 The Kidde Fenwal 12-H27121-020-08-0T DETECT-A-FIRE® (D-A-F) Vertical Detector is a highly reliable heat detection device used for signaling overheat or fire conditions. With over 75 years of proven performance, the D-A-F provides the initial heat sensing to activate fire suppression systems, including clean agent, CO2, inert gases, wet or dry chemicals, or water. Its rate-compensated design allows it to accurately sense ambient temperature regardless of fire growth rate, offering superior response compared to traditional fixed temperature or rate-of-rise detectors. The detector’s inner and outer alloy components work together to precisely track temperature changes while minimizing false alarms.
