Product Overview

 The MP Series THERMOFLEX® detectors are single-circuit, normally open heat sensors engineered with factory-installed pigtail leads that pass through a sealed mounting plate, offering superior resistance to moisture and corrosive environments. This design ensures reliable performance in locations where condensation or corrosion could damage wiring connected to standard terminals. The sealed plate mounts directly onto common cast exterior backboxes, allowing the detector to function as an initiating device within a fire alarm system.

The detector’s internal contacts remain open until activation, closing either when a rapid temperature rise is detected or when the fixed temperature threshold is reached. For installations requiring point-specific annunciation, it is often paired with an addressable module. Its non-metallic diaphragm supports dependable operation in cold, unheated, or chilled environments such as garages, carports, or utility areas.
